- Paus Mela :- (Shantiniketan, District Birbhum) was started by Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. This unique festival held in December-January every year draws people from all over the state and the country.
National Parks & Wild Life Sanctuary in West Bengal
- Sunderbans National Park Situated on the largest estuary delta in the world, Sunderbans National park covers an area of nearly 4264 sq. Km of which 1330 sq. Km is the core area.
- Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary :- Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary is spread over an area of 141 sq. Km on the banks of River Torsa and is famous for the one horned rhino and spotted deers.
- Buxa Tiger Reserve :- Buxa Tiger reserve has been a part of West Bengal wildlife since 1983, however it was recognized as a national park only in the year 1992.
